The Second Amendment
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
This is the sole text of the Second Amendment. I constantly hear "the right of the people to bear arms" almost as if the beginning of this amendment does not exist, or is just some meaningless words our Constitutional Framers decided would sound cool in front of "RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS". I believe completely in the Second Amendment, but I believe in the entire Amendment, not just what people want to use as a catchphrase. Where oh where is each State's well regulated Militia? I have not seen them, have you? Please don't tell me the National Guard, as the National Guard is exactly what it says it is, THE NATIONAL GUARD, not the STATE GUARD. So who exactly is guarding the State? The Federal Government? I don't think so, the power of the National Guard can be wrested from the States by the Federal Government for almost any reason they, THEY deem legitimate. Why are we not fighting, and arguing about the entire Second Amendment, not just the I can carry a gun shit? Don't you think we should be just a little concerned with the entire first part of the Amendment? Do you trust the Federal Government? I sure the fuck don't. So why isn't anyone fighting about the entire Second Amendment? Why are most only concerned with half of this RIGHT? Where is my Militia? Where do we turn when the shit really hits the fan? Why don't we all stop worrying about Zombies, and start focusing on the REAL ZOMBIES? Guess what? The Zombies got guns! Please, please, please consider this, and consider why this was important 250 years ago. It is even more important now. We are the United States of America, not the National States of America. Act Now, if not please don't cry when it is too late, pretty soon, it will be too late!
